Thai Yellow Curry Paste
Untuk membuat hidangan yang berkuah kental ini, kamu memerlukan bumbu yang disebut Yellow Curry Paste. Ada banyak merek Yellow Curry Paste yang dijual di pasaran, tapi saya lebih memilih Ayam Thai Yellow Curry Paste karena sudah terbukti enak. Nah, berikut bahan-bahan yang kamu perlu persiapkan untuk membuat Yellow Curry Paste ala Ayam Thai.
- 8 buah cabai merah besar, buang bijinya
- 2 batang serai, menggunakan bagian putihnya saja dan diiris tipis
- 5 siung bawang putih, cincang halus
- 2 cm jahe, cincang halus
- 2 cm lengkuas, cincang halus
- 1 sendok teh ketumbar bubuk
- 1 sendok teh jinten bubuk
- 1 sendok teh kunyit bubuk
- 1 sendok teh gula pasir
- 1 sendok teh garam
- 1/2 sendok teh merica bubuk
- 1/2 cangkir minyak goreng
Cukup mudah bukan? Selain bahan-bahannya mudah didapatkan, kamu juga tidak perlu repot-repot mencampurkan semua bahan tersebut secara manual. Kamu hanya perlu menggiling semua bahan menggunakan blender atau food processor hingga halus dan camping dengan minyak goreng. Voila! Yellow Curry Paste ala Ayam Thai pun siap digunakan.
Thai Yellow Curry
Setelah kamu berhasil membuat Yellow Curry Paste, langkah selanjutnya adalah membuat hidangan Yellow Curry di rumah.
Bahan:
- 400 gr daging sapi iris tipis
- 2-3 kentang ukuran sedang, kupas dan potong kotak-kotak
- 1 buah paprika merah, dipotong-potong
- 1 buah bawang bombai, cincang kasar
- 2 sendok makan minyak sayur
- 2 sendok makan Yellow Curry Paste Ayam Thai
- 1 kaleng santan kental
- Garam secukupnya
- Gula secukupnya
- Air secukupnya
Petunjuk:
- Tumis bawang bombay dengan minyak sayur hingga harum dan layu, kemudian masukkan daging sapi. Aduk hingga daging sapi berubah warna.
- Tambahkan Yellow Curry Paste Ayam Thai dan aduk hingga semua bahan rata.
- Tuang santan kental sambil diaduk perlahan.
- Masukkan kentang dan paprika merah. Aduk rata dan tambahkan air secukupnya, kemudian masak hingga kentang empuk dan bumbu meresap.
- Tambahkan gula dan garam secukupnya untuk menyesuaikan rasa.
- Sajikan Yellow Curry dengan nasi putih panas.
